Right, so. This isn't important enough to post to CFO, so I'll just announce it in Dairine's journal in hopes that the people who this is affected by will see it l-lol.

Dairine's hiatuspost has been postponed to this weekend, due to a combination of me failing hard and cast timezone/schedule malfunctions. That is all. \o/

Not too much, anyway. It certainly isn't big enough for a realian of Canaan's height to be comfortable in, though. OR IS IT??]

Okay so! Dairine is very into American geek culture e.g. comic books and scifi shows, and her mun rather lives under a rock. Therefore. Should Dairine be able to recognize you? May she? And is there somewhere I can find a nice summary of your canon o god

Age: twelve! Her birthday is the twentieth of October.
Height: I'm going with around 4'11"
Weight: reasonable, given her height. A bit on the skinny side. So... around ninetysomething pounds?
Eyes: grey
Hair: bright red

Physical traits: looks like a fairly normal twelve-year old.

A note on icons: sources are stated in the comments; almost pretty much all of them have editing on hair color and tweaking of contrast, and maybe miscellaneous other color editing. I usually don't note when I do even. Like. A lot of doctoring to edit out elements and stuff. When it says "major editing" in the comments, that pretty much means I had to do jpeg plastic surgery on the pb to make her look right. Lolz.

Medical Info: pretty healthy! Is in good shape; can kick the asses of most of her classmates with kung-fu, but she's probably out of her league martial-arts-wise in Camp.

What's Okay To Mention Around Him/Her: ANYTHING AT ALL \o/ Oh but no book eight spoilers please.

Notes for the Psychics: Is a wizard, so she might notice you poking around if you do! Otherwise, she is very very smart and stubborn and generally of the sort your grandmother might say is "so sharp she'll cut herself". Absorbs knowledge and information like a sponge. Also, there is an undercurrent of computer language feeding into her brain at all times; this comes of her relationship with the Mobiles, an alien species of sentient computers who are all wizards, and the Motherboard, their home planet.

ETA 2/20/08, for specifics: She's also extremely pragmatic, and is prone to snap reactions/judgements (of the situational sort, not the personal) because of that. She becomes very focused when she's angry rather than particularly loud; loud, for her, is when she's faced with something unexpected that she doesn't know how to deal with. Which... oftentimes also results in anger, but a different quality of anger.

Abilities: is a wizard, which in this case means she uses the Speech (a magical language, which, theoretically, all things both living and nonliving understand on some basic, inherent level) to cast spells to save the universe from the heat-death caused by the Lone Power, the source of all death and evil. Yeah. As a side effect, she can understand all languages and make herself understood to all things. It also means that she cannot: lie, cuss, make careless remarks (because, due to the nature of the Speech and of wizardry, they may come true if she does), etc.

Shapeshift/bodyswap/grievous injury/death etc.: ask first ♥

Cooking: does not particularly enjoy cooking, but there are a few dishes she can do pretty well. Nita does most of the cooking in the household. Dairine can make a mean sandwich, however.
